October 1st Gratitude Technique Class-Vote soon!

At 6:30 p.m., on October 1st, at Gratitude Technique Class ($10) we’ll make a fall/Thanksgiving card and three Christmas technique cards for your special friends and family. Let me know if you need the daytime option on Friday, October 2nd at 10:00 a.m. Please register by September 28th at 5:00 p.m.

For $10 Technique classes, $5 of your class fee will be refunded with a $25 order (total before tax and shipping) and the full $10 will be refunded with a $50 order (merchandise total before tax and shipping).

First up is a Wandering Words set Thanksgiving card (sentiment on the Taken with Teal may be changed) with Torn and Rolled Edges Technique with Marker to Stamp and the pretty Autumn Meadows Designer Series Paper.

Cold and Cuddly penguin with Glitter Window technique and some of the Christmas Cocoa designer series paper. This card was posted on my blog previously with credit to the MOJO Monday sketch.

This can be considered a card or a 3-D project. I made this project smaller in both directions that the original, so that it would fit in a medium SU! envelope (Very Vanilla shown), but it was based upon this cute creation: http://kjskorner.blogspot.com/2009/08/cold-and-cuddly-meets-warm-and-yummy.htmly-meets-warm-and-yummy.html

Something a little different this time: You, my customer, can VOTE for the 4th card we'll make. The first three cards shown above are definite, but you can comment here to choose the final card on which we will use the shimmer paints on the stamps. They are all shimmery irl-the camera angle makes a difference. Your choices are in order: Shimmer Dasher, Shimmer Ornaments or Shimmer Trees. Voting ends on September 28th...majority rules.

Shimmer Dasher:

Shimmer Ornaments (does require each ornament to be cut out):

Shimmer Trees: This card used SC246 from SCS and three different greens. If you're curious, yes I cut the trees apart and cut the block into three as well.

On October 22nd, 23rd and 24th (Thursday or Friday Evening 6:30-8:30 p.m. & Saturday 2:00-5:00 p.m.), I’m offering a Christmas Project Bountiful Buffet including Gifts, Gift Tags, Cards, and packaging ideas. Other prices and complete pictures for projects will be available soon. (There will be no discount with order for this class because it would be too confusing for me, so I'll try to offer a special.)

For $10 Technique classes, $5 of your class fee will be refunded with a $25 order (total before tax and shipping) and the full $10 will be refunded with a $50 order (merchandise total before tax and shipping).

First, on WEDNESDAY, September 2nd, at 6:30 p.m., join me for a Halloween and Medallion Technique/Project Class ($10). I'm especially excited to create these projects that are perfect for giving to your favorite little trick or treaters! We’ll make this Fancy Favor Treat Bag for you to fill with Candy Corn or another cute candy (the class includes ribbon & bag). I think the new Sweet Centers Set looks cute on the front of the Fancy Favor container with the window sheet peek-a-boo.

I designed a Pumpkin Waterfall Card using typical Waterfall construction (SCS resources). You'll get to use the new Pumpkin Patch set from the Holiday Mini catalog as well as the Web wheel. I used the Big Shot to add swirly texture to the Perfect Plum layer too.

Each successive pull allows another Jack O'Lantern to smile at you....

And Spooky the Spider from the Eat, Drink & Be Scary set helps wish you a Happy Fright Night!

We'll also make this fun Potion Holder (pre-filled for you with Tang and Grape Kool-Aid). (Creator: Lisa Somerville) I'm usually not a fan of skulls, but I think it is adorable on the test tube as if it is poison :)

Since you may not send very many Halloween cards, this Medallion Autumn All Occasion Card will allow you to choose the sentiment from the versatile set Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Please Register by phone or email by August 30th.

At 6:30 p.m., on October 1st, at Gratitude Technique Class ($10) we’ll make a fall/Thanksgiving card and three Christmas technique cards for your special friends and family.

Birthday Technique Class

For Special Birthday cards, I hope you will consider joining me on Thursday August 13th at 6:30 p.m.! We will make 4 birthday cards using several different techniques.

For little girls, we'll make this Pony Party card with glitter, repetitive stamping and marker coloring. I used Sketch challenge 236 from SCS for this card.

We'll make this gender neutral card using the Crazy for Cupcakes set marker and blender pen coloring and the faux stitching technique.

It actually opens as a gatefold though it looks like just a regular card.

For boys, this Under the Mountain Stars card uses masking as well as paper piecing and sponging to create a cute boy card that will be fairly quick to make. I saw putting a sign in the bear's hands on a blog or maybe from SU!?...I apologize that I can't remember.

We'll make this gift card optional card as well which uses the Big Shot and designer series paper to create a lovely background. I will also have a key for markering the main image to make it easy to place the colors. Big Sigh of relief? :) :

Summer Garden June Technique Class-($10 payment due by May 30th)
$5 of your class fee will be refunded with a $25 order (total before tax and shipping) and the full $10 will be refunded with a $50 order (merchandise total before tax and shipping).

I will not be able to refund or make items for you if you are unable to attend. You will be able to pick up the materials though.

Thursday, June 4th 6:30-8:30 p.m. OR
Friday, June 5th 12:30-2:30 p.m. (by request)

For this card, we'll be using the Big Shot to emboss the vellum with roses. We'll also stamp roses under the vellum and put a ribbon rose on top of the vellum.

This card will display the waxed paper resist technique which is similar to the emboss resist technique that some of you have done in my classes before. Wax paper resist is more of a background technique though.
Watercoloring on Kraft paper is a current trend....We will create a variation of that technique shown below. The sketch for this card came from the MOJO Monday Challenges. (MOJO84)

Plus this Masculine Birthday or Father's Day Spotlight Technique card!

May Flowers Simply Scrappin' Kit Class-Thursday, May 7th 6:30-8:30 p.m. OR May 8th 12:30-2:30 p.m.

RSVP by April 20th or earlier if possible due to ordering times.

This class is $30 of which $23.70 is your scrapbook kit plus tax and shipping. Make scrapbooking easy by choosing a kit and making your pages in just one evening! I'll have layouts as well as providing the use of my punches and ink for the evening or afternoon. The unused portion of the kit is yours to take home.

In this example, I used the Sunshine Garden Simplin' Scrappin Kit. I love these fresh spring colors! No matter which kit you choose this time, they all have strips which will make the class even easier to follow. I added 4 sheets of 12X12 paper to the kits this time to allow us to create five double page layouts.

Layout 1 is a sketch I found on Scrapbooks etc. online. In addition to the designer series papers, I used the Branch Out set to make an image embellishment in the bottom right corner and the Swirly Big Shot die to create emphasis on the mats.

Layout 2 is a simple layout with plenty of impact. My friend Amy found it on Sketchlover.com. A daisy from the Pretties Kit dresses the bottom right corner. Remember you can add more or fewer embellishments than I've shown. Two full sheets of designer series paper and quite a lot of the adhesive die cuts remain after I created the 10 pages shown here.
This fun third layout was created by my friend Paula. Two 4X6 inch pictures fit on the right side of the page on the right for a versatile and fresh design.

Fourth, we have designs I found on the Stampin' Up! website.
Fifth and finally, this layout was created by SCS User ID ScrappyT. She used the Raspberry Tart designer series paper instead, and I added the birds and butterflies. Of course you may or may not want or need these die cuts with the kit you choose.
