Santa's Workshop-Thursday, December 4th 6:30-8:30 p.m.

For the Elves in Santa's Workshop giftables class we will be making a variety of things this year. The cost is $22 and includes your choice of designer series paper from either the Winter Mini catalog or Big Fall and Winter catalog. Register, pay and provide your paper choice by November 26th. Embellishments will vary a bit depending upon the colors in your paper of course.

Here are the gifts and gift boxes you will make with your designer paper choice. Clockwise from top left/11 o'clock: First is a lip balm holder which makes a cute stocking stuffer. Second is the corner bookmark that is finished front and back. You probably saw this on one of my blog posts last month. Third is the largest gift, an altered DVD tin. It is shown open below, and it includes a notepad, pen and jumbo paper clip. Fourth is a mini pizza box which is perfect for small gifts. Fifth is Lyssa Z.'s Haiku box which will include either a cream (shown) or silver hodgepodge hardware piece depending upon the background color of your paper. I hope it isn't too difficult to envision your favorite paper used with coordinating cardstock on these projects?.

Click here to see a DVD tin using the Maine Blueberry Designer Series Paper: http://thestampinbunny.blogspot.com/2008/11/dvd-tin-in-maine-blueberry.html

The lip balm is from Avon and is available in the four colors shown below: Sugar Cookie, Candy Cane, Gingerbread and Wintermint. Be sure to let me know if you don't like one of the flavors. Otherwise, I'll just pick the best coordinate for your paper choice. Also shown below are three of the tags we will make. You can of course change these up a bit, and the fourth picture is the back side of the A Very Merry Christmas tag.
The fourth tag is a Santa metal-edged tag, and the ornament is not shown, but I will update soon. :)

Stamp A Stack/Card Buffet Information

I chose embellishments that will fall under the First Class mail single stamp rate.

Christmas Stamp A Stack/Card Buffet-$22-$25- Friday, November 14th 6:30-8:30 p.m. or Sunday, November 16th 2-4 p.m.

Choose your favorites (up to 4 different cards- List them at the time you pay by looking at my blog) from all the Stamp A Stack offerings. 16 cards for $22 when paid by November 1st......$25 after that..... Final Payment/Registration deadline is November 7th. (First paid, first served on the choice of cards if I happen to run out of a certain cardstock.) Bring or order ahead your favorite adhesive. Bring your envelopes if you'd like to stamp them with matching images as well.

This first card uses the Snow Swirled stamp set as well as a variety of punches. I used the Merry Christmas from Holidays and Wishes on this card, but the Season's Greetings sentiment that is a part of the Snow Swirled set will be available too of course.

This warm little house card isn't difficult, but looks like you spent a lot of time on it. The coloring of the window light, door, wreath and pines is just done with markers. The snow is highlighted with a white gel pen. The four sentiments are part of the stamp set, so you can choose the sentiment treatment that fits your style. (Please let me know with payment so I can punch the outer layers for you ahead of time.)

This simple one-layer card using A Cardinal Christmas from the Holiday Mini will be quick to create and is simple but elegant I think.

This nativity card (two views) using the Season of Simple Grace stamp set has a creative fold as well as two sentiments inside.

This Criss-Cross Card creates a logical layout for the gold-embossed nativity scene that I have really enjoyed.

I can't decide if I prefer the white or red berries with this card, so you can decide for yourself :) and let me know so I can punch them for you.

This card is silver-embossed and has a layer of silver Cardstock. It also has a Peace sentiment from our Big Shot Die-cut machine.

Below, I used the Snow-Swirled set in combination with the Priceless set (in Versamark ink for quick construction).

O Holy Night..the stars are brightly shining....This little card features a window circle with scallop circle punches surrounding the baby Jesus image which is attached to the inside of the card.

This Merry and Bright card is fun and easy!
Three more cards will be posted next week for even more choices for you!

Fall Technique Class Thursday, October 2nd 6:30 p.m.

Fall Technique Class Thursday, October 2nd 6:30 p.m. For our Fall Technique Class, I've found several fun ideas for you all. I hope you will want to attend! Since I'm so late in posting and emailing, the class will be $10 (rather than increasing to $12 within the last week) up until the due date of September 29th, but decide quickly and RSVP as quickly as you can please.

We will make this Punched Owl Candy Bar Holder and three cards. This year's installment of the Hershey Bar holder uses the Eastern Blooms Stamp set as well as the spider from the Eat Drink and Be Scary set (optional). I found it because it was an adorable entry on the So Shelli blog challenge. It was a card created by Laura Brown--here is a link to her blog: http://www.stamphappywithlaura.com/Stamp_Happy/Home/Entries/2008/9/17_Entry_1.html This card was mostly my creation, but I did CASE the candlelight effect from arcopes/Alison (not sure if she was the first to do it). I think the easy masking makes a nice glow. The black layer lifts up (it is tucked under the Curvy Label punch) and a pink layer is inside for stamping a Congratulations or Happy Birthday Sentiment if you'd like.

This card was for the Sketch Challenge on SCS (see the regular blog post for more information). We'll be making faux water (and gloss for the stars) with crystal effects, creating the hemp twine broom and glittering the ruby slippers.
This last card is also embossed and includes the Polished Stone Technique. For this card, I CASE'd the technique but changed the colors and layout from a lovely swap card I received from SU! demonstrator Tonya Smalley.

Scrapbook in an Evening September 18, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.

Sorry these pictures are so small ladies, but here are the examples for the Scrapbook in an Evening class. (If you need to stop by my house to see things better, I will understand.) I used the I WISH Simply Scrappin' Kit (SS kit), so yours will vary slightly depending up the kit you choose. At our class, we will make the layouts and embellishments and you will add the pictures at home.

Pictured below is the first layout without pictures on the mats. For this page, I will cut two 3 X 12 inch pieces of your designer paper, two journaling mats and two matching 4-1/4 X 6-1/4 inch mats. You can mirror one of these pages or create something to fit your pictures.

Here is the layout with all the pictures added-I'm going to add the journaling later:
Layout 1A is a bonus to show ideas of how to use some of the remaining elements of the SS kit.....we will only have time for 4 layouts/8 pages. For layout 2, you will receive two 4-1/4 X 6-1/4 cardstock mats, and I will cut two 6 X 12 inch pieces of your designer series paper and a couple of journaling mats.
For layout 3, I will cut two 5-1/2 X 5-1/2 inch squares of coordinating cardstock. The rest of this page came from elements in the SS kit. (I plan to journal on the Old Olive in the middle.)
For layout 4, I will cut two 11-1/2 X 5 inch pieces of designer paper, 2 strips of 1-1/2 X 11-1/2 inch pieces of a constrasting paper and a decorative strip for each edge from a different designer paper. I will also cut six 3-1/4 X 3-1/4 squares which will allow you to make both the page on the right and its mirror.
Each kit will also come with a bit of ribbon (approx 1 foot-maybe a couple of different ones though) and 20 matching punched photo corners (shown on the middle 3 inch square above as well as other places).

Below is a picture of the remainder of the kit..... 2 sheets of uncut double-sided designer series paper and a variety of adhesive die cuts remain. As you can see, you could be much more generous with embellishing than I was on my pages. We will use the vast majority of the decorative strip adhesive die cuts though (shown at the top right).

You Decide Navy Blue Ghirardelli Pocket Card

We made a card similar to this at Tulsa REgionals....I changed it up a bit for you. Choose the So Saffron flower with Rose Red button for a friend, or choose a Boho Western style using Bordering Blue and a jumbo eyelet.

A jumbo eyelet looks great on the So Saffron flower too. You might prefer a patriotic thank you card for someone serving in the military.
