July Class Projects

We made a varied batch of cards at July Class.

The spired flower card used Blendabilities as well as regular markers and sported a fun fold.

Pastel colors with the new Cupcake Party stamp set

Fancy Flowers Fry Box

This quick yet striking card was CASEd from Patty Bennett using different colors.  We used 5 inch long Post It notes as a maske.  She used the 5 inch wide note cards, but instead I mounted a 5 inch layer onto a 5-1/4 inch by 8 inch base.

June Class Projects

In June everyone chose whether to make a simple or Bee hamburger box.  Everyone also chose her favorite of these two fun girlfriend cards to color with the Blendabilities.

June's quick card was the Blackberry Bliss "Bloom for You" card shown here....It uses the Fun Flower punch and the Flower Fair Framelits Dies.

We used the marker to stamp technique on this Flamingo Lingo stamp card.

May Class and Club May 1st and 2nd...

May Stamp Club and Class will be on Thursday, May 1, at 6:30 p.m. or on Friday, May 2, at 10:30 a.m. at my home.

$10 for 4 projects, Free for 6 month/$25 stamp club members or with a $50 order, Only $5 with a $25 order...Please let me know if you are coming and at which time, so that I can be sure to have plenty of room for everyone. :)

First we'll make this masculine card....you can choose another sentiment, of course.

This easy birthday card does require some hand cutting...but it is a simple card.

I believe I've simplified the Pop Up Box Card enough that we'll be able to complete it easily in class.  The Coastal Cabana designer series paper will vary from card to card, but is all monochrome.
Here is a link to the tutorial...we are making the regular vertical A2 size card box.

Finally, we'll make this Scallop Tag Topper Fold card....Sorry I tried 6 times to get this to be right side up.  That's apparently my limit. :)

Here is a link to the tutorial for it: Stamp With Tami

Spring Stamp A Stack April 17th and 18th

Join me and your fellow stampers for Cake and Stamping on April 17th at 6:30 p.m. or 18th at 11:30 a.m.  We'll make 15 cards for $25 ($1.67/handmade card), and you may choose which cards to make...just make at least 3 of most of the ones you choose or saying it another way, you are limited to making no more than 6 different styles of cards.  (Sentiment choice is irrelevant of course.)

Payment and choice of cards is required by Wednesday...Payment may be made by Paypal (to rgriffin21@cox.net ), cash or check.

Choose up to 6 styles for a total of 15 cards.

Red Barn and Tractor

You could change the sentiment (Happy Father's Day, Get Well etc.) and/or put it on red cardstock and punch with the modern label punch as well.

One Layer Butterfly

There are a variety of other sentiments that would be great on this card as well. It is nice and quick if you need to make a lot. The butterfly is stamped off one time before stamping on the scrap paper. The butterfly is on dimensionals after die cut using the Big Shot.

Pool Party Baby

This card is a simple and quick card that is fairly gender neutral though it is stamped in an aqua.  I can make it in pink if you need pink. Please specify Pool Party or Pink Pirouette.

Simple Man Birthday

This card is a super simple masculine birthday card using the Core'dinations cardstock which I sanded after embossing.

Brown and Butterfly Sympathy

This would make a nice thinking of you or get well card too of course.

Cross Sympathy

This card is white...I chose this picture because it allows you to see how the card is made better than one with truer color.  The flower is Wisteria Wonder and the inside liner is Smokey Slate. This was originally an Easter card, and I changed it a bit from the original.

Bird Thanks

Many sentiments would look nice on this card.

Heart Wedding Card

I hope you can see the textured layers on this gatefold card.

April Class and Club--March 27 and 28

April Stamp Club and Class will be on Thursday, March 27 at 6:30 p.m. or on Friday, March 28th at 10:30 a.m. here at my home.

We're having April's class one week early to allowanother round of Sale-A-Bration orders.
$10 for 4 projects, Free for 6 month/$25 stamp club members or with a $50 order, Only $5 with a $25 order...Please let me know if you are coming and at which time, so that I can be sure to have plenty of room for everyone. :)

I used MOJO Monday Sketch 337 for this card....It was so easy with the SaleABration Sweet Sorbet Paper and Easter Eggstravanganza set.  I just use the Word Window Punch for the sentiment and used sticky strip to adhere a Crisp Cantelope ribbon edge.

This is a CASE of Karen Gibson's adorable idea. I just added a little mouth.  Though it was originally an Easter card, I thought it would make a cute baby card too.  Quick and Easy but super cute! I can say that since I didn't design it. :)

This card uses the Sale-A-Bration set, Petal Parade with Old Olive Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight. Everyone used the sentiment "So Many Smiles.....Begin with You" though.

Finally, we have this cute Cadbury Creme Egg Caddy. It was designed by Connie Stewart. All I did was a change a couple of the colors.

March Class and Club Photos

These are the cards we made last month...

This one was inspired by PaperandRibbons on Flicker...I was unable to trace it back further....It used different butterflies and I added the Soft Sky seam binding ribbon and interior greeting. The acetate folds around the back of the Soft Sky base and is adhered with sticky strip. It is stamped with Whisper White StazOn ink and heated with the heat tool to prevent smearing.  The "Happy Birthday" is stamped in Whisper White craft ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.

This card was inspired by the colors of club member Shari Vick's new bedroom decor in combination with Julie Kettlewell's card design.

This card is very close to a card by Lee Conrey. I changed the color (from yellow to pink). I also just popped the entire cupcake on dimensionals so there'd be less to cut. I put an extra flat piece of Melon Mambo behind the bottom fringe so that the white would be more hidden.

The final card is just a double gatefold....Most chose to fold it the other way and put the polka dot on the inside...I think it looks best that way too, but I didn't want to redo mine because there might not have been enough paper for everyone to use Pistachio Pudding at class if I had.

You make a tiny mark at 2-3/4 on each side and cut from the 4 inch score to it at a diagonal and on the other side from the 8 inch vertical score toward the 2-3/4 mark at a diagonal.  The pieces that are cut off are glued to the front and inside on the fold (where you see my finger).

February Club and Class February 13th and 14th

February Stamp Club and Class will be on Thursday, February 13th at 6:30 p.m. or on Friday, February 14th at 10:30 a.m. here at my home.
$10 for 4 projects, Free for 6 month/$25 stamp club members or with a $50 order, Only $5 with a $25 order...Please let me know if you are coming and at which time, so that I can be sure to have plenty of room for everyone. :)

This is such a pretty set....Not sure the sentiment is perfect for everyone though...

So I made it a birthday card....You can choose whichever one you like best...

Of course the candy comes with this one too....though the designer series paper pattern will vary wildly. :)

Gold Embossed Valentine fun. You could change the sentiment to "Happy Anniversary" or "For the Newlyweds"...
