Rhonda's Stampin' Up! New Catalog Girls' Evening Out!

I’m excited to share all the new ideas we learned at convention, fun swaps cards as well as the Holiday Mini catalog with you all! I hope you are ALL able to join me on Thursday the 28th of July for a come and go anytime from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. for two FREE Make and Take cards and root beer floats.

The projects will be simple but fun and similar in style to these two cards, so it is a perfect time to bring friends who may not have stamped before as well:

I love this new In Color Wisteria Wonder…we’ve needed a light purple! All the new ribbons are lovely too, and I’m excited for you all to use them. This will be July’s Stamp Club meeting as well if you are a part of that, and as always catalogs are free for stamp club members/hostesses or with a $25 order. If you aren’t ready to order, the big catalogs are $5 which is refundable with a $25 order (just remind me when you order).

I hope you are ALL able to drop by for some fun!

Stampin’ Up! has a great $99 starter kit promotion (with two brand new stamp sets-you could also choose new In Colors for your ink pads if you’d rather) through the end of July as well. If you are at all interested, be sure and talk to me about it soon. My downline may attend Technique Classes for only $5 instead of $10, and Stampin’ Up! is giving away a free Holiday Memento box kit! For the first person to sign directly under me, I am offering the awesome Convention 3-ring binder ($25 value) which includes tabs and the complete supply list for all the projects in the catalog. Here’s a link to the list of the Starter Kit contents , and here are pictures of the lovely Binder:

Technique Class June 15th and 16th

Wednesday daytime Technique class will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday evening class remains the same, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

If you haven’t heard, I broke my foot while on vacation, but I still plan to have class this next week. I hope you will let me know as quickly as possible if you are able to attend. I have Monica, Shari, DeNette and Candi on the definite list already, but there is room for more of you of course! The day class will be Wednesday at 1pm instead of in the morning due to my girls having gymnastics on Wednesday mornings this summer. Thursday night is still at 6:30 p.m.

I have the cards to show you now and a strange request. Please bring a picture of a colorful bedspread from a catalog or magazine that you really like. We’ll design a card to match it, and use a new technique with it. It will render the paper useless for ordering, so if you really love it, order the bedspread first. 

We’ll make these cards….starting with this one because it will need to dry. It is the Blowing Bubbles technique:

This is pretty much just about the glitter. The grape and blue raspberry glitters will retire at the end of this month.

This is the one that you can use your bedspread picture and matching colors….It is called the Faux Cloisonné technique.
Plus this watercoloring card:

I hope you are all able to come!

April 20th and 21st Quick Class

This is a $5 class and perfect for any level of stamper....I hope you can make it!  I usually don't CASE cards, but I couldn't let you miss these two lovelies!

This card is almost an exact CASE of Stampin' Up! demonstrator Dawn Olchefske....The beautiful cross made from the lattice die makes this card perfect for a sympathy card too.

This card was greatly inspired by my friend Janine Tinklenberg/JanTInk's card here: http://stampspaperscissors.typepad.com/stamps_paper_scissors/2011/04/returning-to-sanity.html and would also make a cute baby card if you need that instead.
I actually created this one myself except it is for the MOJO Monday Sketch challenge #187 (MOJO187)....:)
Another one by me....LOL....You can make this card with a Strength or Courage or other sentiment because it is a set that benefits Breast Cancer Research. It would also make a lovely Mother's Day card with the glitter on it as shown in the second card below.

Stamp A Stack Wednesday, April 6th or Saturday, April 9th at 10 a.m.

Stamp A Stack will be next week Wednesday, April 6th (at 10:00 a.m.) Or Saturday, April 9th (at 10:00 a.m.), so be sure and let me know your 16 choices from this line-up by April 4th or as soon as you’ve decided.

Stamp A Stacks are $22. I provide all specialty adhesives such as dimensionals, glue dots and sticky strip, but please bring your own general purpose gluestick or tape runner.

Airplane Father's Day or Birthday (uses Splitcoaststampers SC277)
Welcome Baby  (You may choose the image when you stamp...the card is the same. We'll cut the ribbon when you get here or you can tell me 2 boys 2 girls, whichever) Uses SCS SC234
This Night of Navy and Razzleberry Hydrangea card is lovely for thinking of you or birthday.

This birthday cupcake uses Stampin' Addicts Sketch Challenge #87 and a smidge of retired designer series paper.

This Strawberry Polka Dot card is girly I think...do you?  I was trying to vary the typical little girl birthday. I also forgot to run this through the Big Shot (LOL-I'm insane!) Yours will have polka dot embossing folder on the white background. SCS SC206 is the source of the sketch.
Next choice is this Butterfly Birthday card...it uses a wheel so be forewarned. :)

Then, there are two wedding cards from which you can chose:
And finally this simple Z fold with a Top Note Die Cut on top with the Nature Walk Set

How about a 3-D with a Marigold on top that is perfect for tiny gifts like earrings?

Something a little different with marker to stamp and our new Beveled Windowpanes:

Your choice of Faux Silk styles:

The typical stamping directly on the tissue paper:

Or a Pressed Flowers look that comes from Stamping the cardstock and putting tissue over the entire thing:

I hope to have the Stamp A Stack choices for April 6th and 7th up next week....sorry for the delay.

March Technique Class March 2nd at 10:00 a.m. or March 3rd at 6:30 p.m.

First, is this gift card holder designed by Vicki B. originally...I just changed the colors and theme (Christmas to birthday).

This little butterfly scene is easy, but detailed.

I enjoy the baby wipe inkpad technique, and it really makes this flower "pop"!
This card will have a detachable butterfly with either a pin or magnet on the back--your choice depending on which you might use.  You also can't see the shimmer paint mist on the fabric...that is also optional.
