For this card, we'll be using the Big Shot to emboss the vellum with roses. We'll also stamp roses under the vellum and put a ribbon rose on top of the vellum.

This card will display the waxed paper resist technique which is similar to the emboss resist technique that some of you have done in my classes before. Wax paper resist is more of a background technique though.
Watercoloring on Kraft paper is a current trend....We will create a variation of that technique shown below. The sketch for this card came from the MOJO Monday Challenges. (MOJO84)

May Flowers Simply Scrappin' Kit Class-Thursday, May 7th 6:30-8:30 p.m. OR May 8th 12:30-2:30 p.m.

RSVP by April 20th or earlier if possible due to ordering times.

This class is $30 of which $23.70 is your scrapbook kit plus tax and shipping. Make scrapbooking easy by choosing a kit and making your pages in just one evening! I'll have layouts as well as providing the use of my punches and ink for the evening or afternoon. The unused portion of the kit is yours to take home.

In this example, I used the Sunshine Garden Simplin' Scrappin Kit. I love these fresh spring colors! No matter which kit you choose this time, they all have strips which will make the class even easier to follow. I added 4 sheets of 12X12 paper to the kits this time to allow us to create five double page layouts.

Layout 1 is a sketch I found on Scrapbooks etc. online. In addition to the designer series papers, I used the Branch Out set to make an image embellishment in the bottom right corner and the Swirly Big Shot die to create emphasis on the mats.

Layout 2 is a simple layout with plenty of impact. My friend Amy found it on Sketchlover.com. A daisy from the Pretties Kit dresses the bottom right corner. Remember you can add more or fewer embellishments than I've shown. Two full sheets of designer series paper and quite a lot of the adhesive die cuts remain after I created the 10 pages shown here.
This fun third layout was created by my friend Paula. Two 4X6 inch pictures fit on the right side of the page on the right for a versatile and fresh design.

Fourth, we have designs I found on the Stampin' Up! website.
Fifth and finally, this layout was created by SCS User ID ScrappyT. She used the Raspberry Tart designer series paper instead, and I added the birds and butterflies. Of course you may or may not want or need these die cuts with the kit you choose.

April Showers Watercoloring Class

April Showers Water-coloring and Watercolor Crayons Technique Class ($10 payment due by March 30th)
$5 of your class fee will be refunded with a $25 order placed the same day (total before tax and shipping) and the full $10 will be refunded with a $50 order (merchandise total before tax and shipping). I will not be able to refund or make items for you if you are unable to attend. You will be able to pick up the materials though.

Thursday, April 2nd 6:30-8:30 p.m. OR
Friday, April 3rd 12:30-2:30 p.m. (by request)

Here are the cards we will make:

For this card, I brought out the new Scalloped oval punch as well as the Oval All set from the Occasions Mini catalog which will be available for purchase on April 1. We will practice the Watercolor Wash Technique with the Wonderful Watercolors set and use a combination of stamping with StazOn and Watercolor Crayon Misting as well. The lovely designer series paper is from the Bella Blue papers on page 161. Two Pretties Kit half back pearls can be an elegant substitute for brads.

Below, the Echoes of Kindness Hostess set with black craft ink and clear embossing powder give this card a vibrant look. We will color using aquapainters and classic inks in this bold color combination further intensified by black.

For this card (the one below is included to show the Thinking of You sentiment-you choose the sentiment during class), we will use the Wonderful Watercolors set and the Watercolor Wonder Crayons Misting technique for a soft look with 2 step stamping which allows the flowers to have both the yellow and pink colors. This set would also be lovely if colored using markers, aquapainters or blender pens.

More choices are available on the card below. We will make both of the image panels, but you may make one into a tag, and the other will be used on your card. The yellow panel swings up, and if you want to make your card an Easter card, you can say, "Happy Easter!", but you can also use the "You crack me up" sentiment and make the card for another occasion. (You might not paper piece the Regal Rose egg shell in that case...you'd just leave it white.)
The fantastic scalloped edge was designed by JanTInk. You can see it on a basket she made that is much like the boxes we made from the scallop envelope Big Shot die at Christmas. February 5th & 6th--Valentine's Plus Technique Class

Valentine’s Plus Technique Class ($10.00 payment required by deadline of January 25th)

Thursday, February 5th 6:30-8:30 p.m. OR
Friday, February 6th 12:30-2:30 p.m. (by request)

Sparkly strips of glitter make a fun background on the card below. It also uses the heart from the Polka Dot Punches Sale-A-Bration set and the new Full Heart Punch. This glitter background was TLC202 on SCS.....I thought you all might like to try it.

The bear from the Under the Stars set is ready for bear hugs and a pack of candy too. The Big Shot Scalloped Envelope Die Creates a Valentine Pouch perfect for individual size packs of candies. (The originator of this style pouch was SCS user ID TTFN/Vicky. Thanks for sharing Vicky.) This card uses SC212 from SCS, as well as the faux dazzling diamond dust technique (on the Certainly Celery designer series paper 1-3/4 inch circle). The fresh spring feel of this card is enhanced by the Stampin' Up! exclusive Sizzlet Little Leaves die with Whisper White Trio Flower Punches (center pre-stamped in Celery with the Polka Dot Punches set).

This Ever After Card is for Valentine's Day, but the set was designed for a wedding card. I'm happy I have a cousin's wedding to attend this spring, and I can't wait to use the Lily of the Valley stamp on white wrapping paper for the present as well.
