July Technique Class-NEXT Thursday, July 12th at 6:30 or Friday, July 13th at 12:30 p.m..

Next Thursday, July 12th at 6:30 p.m. and next Friday, July 13th at 12:30 p.m. are the June stamp club/Technique class meetings. As usual, class is $10 or free for 6/$25 Stamp Club members, $5 with a $25 order or free with a $50 order.

Please let me know by Tuesday, July 10th if you are able to attend or not and also if you’d like to join the 6 month/$25 stamp club for July-December. (I’ll have a small gift for July-December Stamp Club members.) I hope to see you all for some fun summer stamping!

One thing will be done a little different this time....We'll try to do the majority of our Big Shot pieces first/one at a time which will hopefully save us some time.  If it doesn't work, we can always change back next time.

The first card is a CASE (copy and share everything) of a swap card I received from Paula Wright here: http://www.paulastamps.blogspot.com/2012/07/happy-july.html  I added a book mark using the Big Shot Apothecary Accents framelit (I trimmed off the bottm) and essentials paper piercing pack, added a bit of light pink and changed the ribbon to make it a technique class card.  The Reason to Smile set is only $5 with a $50 purchase in the month of July.  I think you'll enjoy this card and this set!

Next up is a watercoloring Himalayan (they're blue) Poppies card using the Pleasant Poppies background and Papillon Potpourri sets.  First, we'll emboss with clear embossing powder and Black Craft Ink. Then, we'll watercolor and you can decide if you'd like to use the Elegant Butterfly punch (which will remove the antennae or cut it out as I did, preserving the antennae)

This Summer Silhouettes card uses Emboss Resist after which we'll add Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder for glittery shine and plenty of rhinestone bling.

This Betsy's Bloom set card was made using the MOJO248 sketch, and we'll double cut the framelit to make it slightly narrower.

June Technique Class Thursday, June 7th at 6:30 p.m. or Friday, June 8th at 1:30 p.m.

Next Thursday, June 7th at 6:30 p.m. and next Friday, June 8th at 1:30 p.m. are the June stamp club/Technique class meetings.  As usual, class is $10 or free for 6/$25 Stamp Club members, $5 with a $25 order or free with a $50 order.

Please let me know by Tuesday, June 5th if you are able to attend or not and also if you’d like to join the 6 month/$25 stamp club for July-December. (I’ll have a small gift for July-December Stamp Club members.)  I hope to see you all for some fun summer stamping!

Needless to say this little owl can be for a birthday or for any occasion in which you'd give a card to a man.  The green leaves are the new in color Gumball Green, and the Daffodil Delight ribbon is new.

We'll use the bleaching technique as well as heat embossing for this ship card.  The dark blue shown is the new Midnight Muse In Color.  The sentiment on the inside of this card can make it perfect for a brother, husband or son's birthday.

This card features the new Everything Eleanor set as well as the Primrose Petals In Color and a smidge of the new Summer Starfruit In Color.

Our last card will feature the In Color, Raspberry Ripple of course, but I haven't finished it yet.

May is National Scrapbooking Month

This time, our Thursday night class will have to be THIS WEEK on the 10th of May due to Sara's recital dress rehearsal on the 17th.  The Friday noon class can be on the 11th or 18th as decided by the majority of those who plan to attend. Please RSVP as SOON as possible so that I'll know if I should plan to have the class at either time or at all.  Your choice of layout (Nature, Girl Birthday or Boy Birthday) for $10.  You'll enjoy stamping and assembly for these quick and easily expandable ideas.

In this 12X12 layout, I used the main coneflower image to create a stamped break in the picture spots for a sweet look. I realized I hadn't used this set with Peach Parfait and Soft Suede, so I paired them with the chameleon-like green, Old Olive for a sweet look.

Next up is this Birthday Celebration 2 page layout for a girl. There will be more customizing available to you for these pages such as more letters and sparkly bling as needed. You can of course wait to attach your pictures until you know what they will be, or bring them if you'd like.

Finally, this potential Boy's Birthday layout which is also perfect for a thunder fan.  Letters can be a child's name instead of course as shown on the girl's layout. On the other hand, one would remove the cupcake and make the circle a basketball for a more thunder-y look. (More bling and embellishments available to you for this one as well.)

No worries if you aren't interested, I can use my samples for myself of course. :)

Stampin' Technique Class and Club this week- May 3rd and 4th

I'd love to see you at Technique Class and Club this week! We'll make four projects. As always, class is $10 or $5 with a $25 order (and for demonstrators in my downline) or free with a $50 order or for 6 month $25 Stamp Club members.  I hope you like them well enough.

Since the Stampin' Pastels are retiring, we'll make this Poppin pastels round card with the retiring Inspired by Nature Set.  Please note that your pearls will be the slightly larger size due to the number of pearls I will need for class.

I also decided to use the other Pastel technique Pullin' Pastels for this card with the retiring Fifth Avenue Florals set. The other three items seemed shabby vintage, so to me this one breaks that mold.  The sentiment may of course be changed.

Next, is a fun pin for a bag or jacket that we were shown at Leadership. I hope you'll enjoy making this flower. It cannot be mailed. You'd need to put it in a box.

Finally a small tea bag holder which is I realize made from the retired SaleABration paper, but it looked nice with the paper, so I wanted to use it for a Mother's Day add on giftie.

March #2/April Technique Class/Stamp Club - March 29 at 6:30 p.m. or March 30 at noon...

Attend Technique Class and make 3 projects for $10 (free for 6 month/$25 Stamp Club members or with a $50 order and $5 for my downline or with a $25 order). Just let me know no later than Wednesday at 7pm if you'd like to attend please, so that I may have the projects ready for you.

For the first card, we'll use Black Craft Ink and Clear Embossing Powder on Very Vanilla Cardstock to create an elegant card and matching envelope.  It has an enclosure for your greeting or for a gift card.  This card has a large brad, so if you'd like to mail this card, you might choose to exchange the Black Satin Ribbon bow and brad for an embossed flower also from the Creative Elements stamp set or a Monogram Letter as we've used on past cards.

This Zoo Review set card was a favorite of mine created by the Stampin' Up! team at Leadership this year. I used the penguin card for Emma's birthday thank yous, and I love the party hat added to it. (The hat scale is only right for the penguin.) You'll use the sentiment of your choice and choose either the Pool Party color scheme with a penguin or polar bear or the Old Olive color scheme with a zebra or lion. Please choose Pool Party or Old Olive in your sign up email, so that I may cut your cardstock.

Finally, we have this stained glass look card created by using vellum with the Designer Cuts Cards and Envelopes set from the Occasions Mini catalog. We'll use the StampAmajig to place our sentiments. It doesn't have to be for a mom....It could simply say Thoughts of You of course, but I like the idea of giving this floral heart to a woman rather than a Valentine/man since it is so frilly.

March Technique Class #1 Thursday, March 1 at 6:30 p.m. or Friday, March 2 at noon

Join me and some new friends for Technique Class and make 3 projects for $10 (free for 6 month/$25 Stamp Club members or with a $50 order and $5 for my downline or with a $25 order). Just let me know by Wednesday at 7pm if you'd like to attend please, so that I may have the projects ready for you.

There are only 3 this month because this card has two techniques....First we'll marker to stamp with the watermelon image and then, use Versamark and heat emboss using Stampin' Up!'s new melon scented embossing powder.  Next, we'll use the baby wipe stripe technique to create an asymmetrical plaid.

Our second card shows a potential use for bits and pieces of scrapbook/designer series paper leftovers as we Go Green/reduce waste by reusing the paper.

The inner pieces will be cut for you, so that you glue and then use the Big Shot to emboss....

The final card is a grid/color block card using the Everyday Enchantment Sale-A-Bration designer series paper, and this time we're using the matching Fresh Vintage stamp set.  It shows using just a scrap of leftover Crochet Ribbon to add a nice detail.  The sentiment layer is raised on dimensional strip and has one of the Everyday Enchantment Sale-A-Bration butterfly brads on it.
