Warm Up to the New Catalog! on Thursday, January 10th, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.

Warm Up to the New Stampin' Up! Catalog at my Mystery Hostess Event! (If the weather is yucky on the 10th, we will move it to Thursday, January 17th.)

We'll have both savory and sweet fondue as well as two simple make and takes. One will be a little 3-dimensional box for Valentine candies, and the other will be a card. The new catalog has so many stamp sets that I love I'm having trouble deciding what card to include for a make and take! (Click on my regular blog link to see several new cards I've created....plus I have several more sets ordered.) So, I'll make this interactive....straw poll....should the card be a Valentine or another type of card? Let me know your opinion with your RSVP :)

As usual, we'll have a drawing for at least $15 in free product. Ticket earning will occur as follows: 1 for attendance, an extra 1 for bringing a friend, and 3 extra tickets for placing an order of $25 (or more in increments of $25).

Catalogs will be available for purchase for $5 or are free with a $25 order or free with a Hostess Stamp Club agreement if we have enough interest. (Catalogs will be available for browsing for everyone of course!)

I hope everyone will be able to attend and to invite ALL your friends you think might be interested!! (RSVPs ~are~ required by January 6th so that I may have plenty of supplies ready. Please let me know if you know you are unable to attend as well.)

Since this is a promotional/FREE event, current customers will not receive a free ink pad when a friend attends, but this event is great for inviting any friends who just ~might~ like to try stamping. (You would still receive a stamp pad if they attend a paid class later or in the event that they choose to host a party, after their party is completed.)

You will be able to choose the image for the top of your Valentine Box:

Starlight Sparkles on the Snow Outside My Window Technique Class November 8th 7:00 p.m.

Are you ready to make glitter embellished designs for your most appreciative card recipients? You have the opportunity to experience more than seven techniques on five projects in one evening at my grand finale technique class for this catalog year. The price of the class is $10.

First is the Starlight Sparkling on the Snow portion of the class.....this card uses heat embossing, reverse masking, paper piercing and heavy and light sponging as well as stamping with markers for a surprisingly easy WOW effect.

This blingy sweetie has the glitter strip technique I saw at convention. It is easy to provide an adorable sparkle with this simple technique. Please keep an open mind about the fun and funky letter stamping. (This picture also illustrates how much nicer the card is using Real Red cardstock as a mat layer and using Real Red Craft ink for greater vibrancy as shown in the card you will be making on the right.)
This card features the open window technique, the two way glue pen used to apply glitter, and tone on tone background stamping. I will demo the crystal effects and dazzling diamonds icicles, and you will have finished icicles available to apply to your cards.
Our final card is a glitter window that includes white on white heat-embossed snowflakes and contrast-stamped flannel plaid background. You may use markers or an aquapainter to color your penguin image.
Finally, a sparkling glitter glass ornament that is unebelievably easy!

October 25th 6:30 p.m. Christmas Stamp A Stack #2

I hope you will enjoy the variety in these choices of 15 cards for $20.

You may do 3 of each of the 5 choices or you may do all 15 of one choice or something in between. For each one you choose to do, you must do at least three cards though. We will begin at 6:30 p.m.

**I need pre-payment and your decision regarding which cards you'd like to make no later than 12 noon on October 16th because I anticipate that I will need to order cardstock. (Shipping takes at least a week.)

First, there is this simple and fun Santa card with choice of sentiment. You might want to replace "be merry" with Merry Christmas or Warm Wishes?

Next are the Snowflake Spot cards, and there are three options involved here.

Snowflake A is a One Sheet Wonder style in which you just stamp all over the cardstock. It does have some ribbon tying though.

Snowflake B is a hinged card in a minimalist design. Warm Wishes or another sentiment can be substituted on this one obviously :)

Snowflake C has a lovely large snowflake image panel.

This Certainly Celery and Real Red Hope card uses the swirly Illuminations stamp set with the Background Basics holly stamp.

This City of David design has a fancy fold, but is very easy to make. (This is the view as you remove it from the envelope.)

Alternate view showing the inside of the card and the way the card might be displayed.

You all saw this Soft Sky and Old Olive JOY Tree card at the Fall/Halloween Class.

Next Event--October 11th--Christmas Gift Round Up

Hi all!

I hope you will all enjoy our next class which is October 11th from 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.!

Most of you chose your stamp set and colors at the last Stamp A Stack. If you haven't chosen yet, the choices illustrated by the tile recipe holders are Baroque Motifs (left), Wanted (middle) or Wild Rose (right).

The candle, tile recipe or picture holder, tea bag holder, and 2, 4, 6, 8 box we will make are shown in the first picture. Below that are the ornaments.
